ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,937, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to Ridge Tool Co. (Elyria, Ohio).
"Drain cleaner fluid management" was invented by Scott Kruepke (Valley City, Ohio), Glen R. Chartier (Avon Lake, Ohio) and Robert Skrjanc (Lorain, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Drain cleaning machines having various fluid management provisions are described. The various fluid management provisions serve to direct and collect fluid and debris carried with a drain cleaning cable undergoing retraction into the machine."
