ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,992, issued on July 1, was assigned to RICOH COMPANY LTD. (Tokyo).
"Liquid discharge head, liquid discharge device, and liquid discharge apparatus" was invented by Masaya Shingyoh (Kanagawa, Japan), Ryuji Tsukamoto (Kanagawa, Japan) and Kohta Akiyama (Kanagawa, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid discharge head includes: a diaphragm having a nozzle; a substrate including a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle; a piezoelectric body over the diaphragm, the piezoelectric body configured to deform at least a part of an edge of the nozzle; and a vibration absorbing portion in the diaphragm."
