US Patent Issued to RICOH on Jan. 28 for "Printer" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,208,608, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to RICOH COMPANY LTD. (Tokyo).

"Printer" was invented by Tetsu Morino (Kanagawa, Japan) and Muneyuki Okeguchi (Kanagawa, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printer includes a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a liquid to a print target, a holder configured to hold the print target, and a height detector configured to detect the print target on the holder at a first height and at a second height lower than the first height."

The patent was filed on June 16, 2023, under Application No. 18/210,675.
