ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,433,948, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to RICHTER GEDEON NYRT (Budapest, Hungary).

"Aqueous pharmaceutical formulations" was invented by Jheng-Gang Yang (Taiwan, China), Wen-Cheng Chang (Taiwan, China) and Jiung-Liang Liu (Taiwan, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are an aqueous pharmaceutical formulation comprising an antibody specific to the receptor of interleukin (IL)-6 (for example, Tocilizumab) and an effective amount of histidine for stabilizing the antibody. Said histidine is present in the aqueous pharmaceutical formulation at a concentration of 50 mM to 200 mM so as to achieve the stabilizing effect."
