ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,459, issued on May 6, was assigned to RHODIA OPERATIONS (Paris).
"Precipitated silica and process for its manufacture" was invented by Pascaline Garbey (Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, France), Frederic Colbeau-Justin (Leuville-sur-Orge, France) and Laure Bertry (Aubervilliers, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A chemically modified precipitated silica characterised by the presence of methyl moieties chemically bound to the silica and a process for its manufacture."
The patent was filed on June 23, 2020, under Application No. 17/618,904.
