ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,241,009, issued on March 4, was assigned to RHODIA OPERATIONS (Paris).

"Modified phosphors and compositions thereof" was invented by Valerie Buissette (Paris), Franck Aurissergues (Argenteuil, France) and Thierry Le Mercier (Rosny-sous-Bois, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modified phosphor is described comprising phosphor particles and at least one amphiphilic agent. Compositions comprising the modified phosphor and at least one polymer are also described."

The patent was filed on Oct. 5, 2021, under Application No. 17/494,334.
