ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,337,300, issued on June 24, was assigned to RHODIA OPERATIONS (Aubervilliers, France).

"Mixed oxide with high pore volume" was invented by Naotaka Ohtake (Tokushima Prefecture, Japan) and Toshihiro Sasaki (Tokushima Prefecture, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a mixed oxide composition based on zirconium and cerium, to the process for preparing it and to its use in the field of catalysis. The mixed oxide is characterized by a high specific surface area and a specific porosity after calcination at 1100deg C."
