ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,490,995, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to Rhode Island Hospital (Providence, R.I.).
"Lumbar facetectomy guide" was invented by Albert Telfeian (Providence, R.I.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lumbar facetectomy guide includes a trajectory drill guide, a transforaminal rectangular cannula, and a stereotactic block, the stereotactic block including a first channel for receipt of the trajectory drill guide and a second channel for receipt of the transforaminal rectangular cannula."
