US Patent Issued to Resonac on March 18 for "Method for producing highly polymerizable n-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,252,458, issued on March 18, was assigned to Resonac Corp. (Tokyo).

"Method for producing highly polymerizable n-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer" was invented by Naoyuki Tanaka (Tokyo), Katsumi Mikami (Tokyo) and Takamitsu Kobayashi (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing a highly polymerizable N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer includes (A) melting a crude N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer comprising 50 to 88 mass % of an N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer by heating, followed by cooling for precipitation, and subjecting precipitated N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide monomer crystals to solid-liquid separ...
