ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,480,504, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to ResMed Motor Technologies Inc. (Chatsworth, Calif.).

"Compact low noise efficient blower for CPAP devices" was invented by Barton John Kenyon (Sydney) and Peter John Sweeney (Sydney).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A blower for providing a supply of air at positive pressure in the range of approximately 2 cm H2O to 30 cm H2O includes a motor, at least one impeller, and a stationary component. The stationary component includes an inlet and an outlet. The motor, the impeller, the inlet and outlet are co-axial."

The patent was filed on Dec. 29, 2023, under Application No. 18/399,818.
