ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,053, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Replimune Ltd. (Oxfordshire, Great Britain).
"Engineered virus" was invented by Robert Stuart Coffin (London).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to oncolytic virus comprising: (i) a GM-CSF-encoding gene; and (ii) an immune co-stimulatory pathway activating molecule or an immune co-stimulatory pathway activating molecule-encoding gene."
The patent was filed on Feb. 2, 2023, under Application No. 18/163,837.
