ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,419,932, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to Renovion Inc. (Chapel Hill, N.C.).

"Aqueous solution comprising a glutathione salt" was invented by Edward J. Delaney (Princeton, N.J.), Carolyn Durham (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Daniel W. Copeland (Chapel Hill, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure provides pharmaceutical preparations, products, and methods relating to ARINA-1 for use in treating patients with chronic inflammatory lung diseases, such as lung transplant, cystic fibrosis (CF), non-CF bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other inflammatory lung diseases."
