ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,295,589, issued on May 13, was assigned to RELJA Innovations LLC (Brookfield, Wis.).

"Method, surgical apparatus, and surgical implant for minimally invasive surgical procedures" was invented by Robby A. Amiot (Brookfield, Wis.), Joseph P. Ritz (Castroville, Texas) and Eric Marcano (San Antonio).
