ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,170, issued on March 25, was assigned to Rehrig Pacific Co. (Monterey Park, Calif.).

"Low depth dairy crate" was invented by Suzanne Whitfield Clark (Santa Monica, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A crate for storing containers includes a plurality of walls and a base connected to the plurality of walls. The base includes a plurality of recessed areas each having a first container contact surface spaced from a second container contact surface."

The patent was filed on June 14, 2019, under Application No. 16/442,377.
