ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,209,336, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to Regents of the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis).
"Active knit compression garments, devices and related methods" was invented by Rachael Margaret Granberry (Saint Paul, Minn.), Kevin Eschen (Minneapolis), Julianna Abel (Minneapolis) and Bradley Holschuh (North Oaks, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Garments having active and passive knitted rows can provide desired levels of compression. Garments made of active and passive knitted rows can provide dynamic levels of compression with respect to both location and over time to address a variety of conditions."
