ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,451, issued on May 13, was assigned to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Tarrytown, N.Y.).
"Cell culture medium" was invented by Ta-Chun Hang (Morristown, N.J.) and John Zhao (North Arlington, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides improved cell culture media for maintaining and expanding immune effector cell and hematopoietic stem or progenitor cell populations."
The patent was filed on Oct. 22, 2020, under Application No. 17/077,134.
