ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,716, issued on May 20, was assigned to RefleXion Medical Inc. (Hayward, Calif.).
"Methods for radiation delivery quality assurance" was invented by Amir Ramezanzadeh Moghadam (San Jose, Calif.) and George Andrew Zdasiuk (Portola Valley, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods and systems for generating a MV detector image for evaluating the quality of radiation delivery according to a radiotherapy treatment plan. The MV detector image is generated from MV detector measurements of a small number of multi-leaf collimator (MLC) leaf openings."
