ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,678, issued on March 25, was assigned to Reel Power Licensing Corp. (Oklahoma City).
"Shaft locking mechanism" was invented by Joseph Henry (Oklahoma City) and David Lasswell (Oklahoma City).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A retrievable shaft locking mechanism for axial and rotational locking on smooth round shafts with a lever providing tensioning of the clamping ring and vectorially supporting a clamping action through a horizontal dowel pin."
The patent was filed on Aug. 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/453,809.
