ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,450,090, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Red Hat Inc. (Raleigh, N.C.).

"Scheduler incorporating thermal awareness" was invented by Huamin Chen (Westboro, Mass.) and Chen Wang (Chappaqua, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A software container is obtained for execution on one of a plurality of compute nodes. A processing device schedules the software container on a first compute node of the plurality of compute nodes based on a comparison of a thermal state of the first compute node to a defined threshold."

The patent was filed on May 19, 2022, under Application No. 17/749,021.
