"Engine oil pan" was invented by Rajan Shah (Eagleview, Pa.), Joshua Bloch (Eagleville, Pa.), Kyle Pfender (Colmar, Pa.) and Patrick Kennedy (Hatboro, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An engine oil pan has side walls and bottom wall that define an oil reservoir. The bottom wall has a plurality of attachments positions and oil drain plug with an open end below the lowest portion of the bottom wall.
