ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,278, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Raytheon Co. (Arlington, Va.).

"Method for protecting IR transmitting windows and domes from EMI" was invented by Ralph Korenstein (Natick, Mass.) and Catherine Trent (Allen, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Transparent IR conductive (TIRC) coatings used for EMI protection of, for example, longwave IR windows and domes are disclosed. In some non-limiting embodiments, the TIRC coating may be a BaCuSF coating. Related systems and methods are also disclosed."

The patent was filed on Sept. 25, 2020, under Application No. 17/032,793.
