ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,253,434, issued on March 18, was assigned to Raymond & Lae Engineering Inc. (Fort Collins, Colo.).
"Hydrocarbon leak detection cable" was invented by Donald M. Raymond (Fort Collins, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are embodiments of hydrocarbon leak detection cables that utilize time domain reflectometry to indicate the location of changes in impedance in a hydrocarbon leak detection cable. In addition, an embodiment of a hydrocarbon leak detection optical fiber is disclosed."
The patent was filed on Sept. 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/367,007.
