ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,480,735, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Ravin Crossbows LLC (Superior, Wis.).

"Cocking system for a crossbow" was invented by Craig Yehle (Winona, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A crossbow including pulleys rotatably attached to a center rail of the crossbow. Power cables of the crossbow connect the limbs of the crossbow to the pulleys. The draw string is enclosed in a safety cover. The crossbow includes a cocking system that translates a string carrier along the center rail to cock and de-cock the crossbow."

The patent was filed on March 11, 2021, under Application No. 17/199,000.
