ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,316,648, issued on May 27, was assigned to Rapid7 Inc. (Boston).
"Data value classifier" was invented by Matthew Kienow (Dayton, Ohio) and Brent Cook (Austin, Texas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and systems for identifying targets on a network. The disclosed methods involve classifying data as valuable or non-valuable, and then classifying an asset associated with the retrieved data as a target or a non-target based in part on the classification of the data."
The patent was filed on July 23, 2019, under Application No. 16/519,789.
