US Patent Issued to Rambus on Sept. 30 for "Row hammer mitigation" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,431,182, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Rambus Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Row hammer mitigation" was invented by Thomas Vogelsang (Mountain View, Calif.) and Torsten Partsch (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A 3D DRAM architecture may have one or more layers of cells where the access transistors of the memory cell array are fabricated among the metal layers rather than in the semiconductor (e.g., silicon) substrate.
