US Patent Issued to Rambus on July 1 for "Command-triggered data clock distribution mode" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,347,479, issued on July 1, was assigned to Rambus Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Command-triggered data clock distribution mode" was invented by Ian Shaeffer (Los Gatos, Calif.), Lei Luo (Chapel Hill, Calif.) and Liji Gopalakrishnan (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An integrated circuit includes a physical layer interface having a control timing domain and a data timing domain, and circuits that enable the control timing domain during a change in power conservation mode in response to a first event, and that enable the data timing domain in response to a second event.
