ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,489,598, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Rambus Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Phase-based lock detector with programmable frequency offset tolerance" was invented by Andrew Fuller (Durham, N.C.).
