ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,455,049, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to Quarkstar LLC (Las Vegas).

"Solid state lamp using light emitting strips" was invented by Robert V. Steele (Redwood City, Calif.), Louis Lerman (Las Vegas), Allan Brent York (Victoria, Canada), Wilson Dau (Victoria, Canada), Jacqueline Teng (Irvine, Calif.) and George Lerman (Las Vegas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A solid state lamp includes a connector and a bulb portion with multiple strips."
