ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,413,481, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to QUALCOMM Inc. (San Diego).
"Data center networks using bottleneck structures" was invented by Jordi Ros-Giralt (Vilafranca del Penedes, Spain), Noah Amsel (New York) and Richard Lethin (Bronxville, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A network is designed based on its topology and the expected flow patterns in the network. The use of the latter can lead to efficient use of network resources and can reduce or even minimize waste. Non-interference properties of the expected flows can yield an improved or even optimal design."
