ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,262,360, issued on March 25, was assigned to QUALCOMM Inc. (San Diego).

"Communicating across a wideband using sub-bands" was invented by Srinivas Yerramalli (Hyderabad, India), Arumugam Chendamarai Kannan (San Diego), Vasanthan Raghavan (West Windsor Township, N.J.), Jing Sun (San Diego), Vinay Chande (San Diego), Giovanni Chisci (San Diego), Tao Luo (San Diego), Wooseok Nam (San Diego) and Xiaoxia Zhang (San Diego).
