"Grouping data packets at a modem" was invented by Alok Mitra (San Diego), Sitaramanjaneyulu Kanamarlapudi (San Diego), Vamsi Dokku (San Diego) and Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan (Erie, Colo.).
