ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,613, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to QUALCOMM Inc. (San Diego).

"Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with passive and active common mode cancellation" was invented by Efthymios Philip Papageorgiou (Berkeley, Calif.), Jessica Liu Strohmann (Cupertino, Calif.), Jae Hyeong Seo (Pleasanton, Calif.), Hrishikesh Vijaykumar Panchawagh (Cupertino, Calif.) and Kostadin Dimitrov Djordjev (Los Gatos, Calif.).
