ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,314,183, issued on May 27, was assigned to PURE STORAGE INC. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Preserved addressing for replaceable resources" was invented by John Hayes (Mountain View, Calif.), Par Botes (Atherton, Calif.), Robert Lee (Pebble Beach, Calif.) and Peter Vajgel (Santa Clara, Calif.).
