ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,373,397, issued on July 29, was assigned to Pure Storage Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Managing directory-tree operations in file storage" was invented by Dirk Meister (Mountain View, Calif.), Subramaniam Periyagaram (Campbell, Calif.), David A. Grunwald (San Francisco) and Ronald Karr (Palo Alto, Calif.).
