US Patent Issued to PURE LITHIUM on Sept. 9 for "Rechargeable battery and electrolysis method of making same" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,897, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to PURE LITHIUM Corp. (Charlestown, Mass.).

"Rechargeable battery and electrolysis method of making same" was invented by Donald R. Sadoway (Cambridge, Mass.) and Emilie Bodoin (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lithium metal electrode comprises a layer of lithium metal coating a conductive substrate, the layer of lithium metal having no more than five ppm of non-metallic elements by mass.
