ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,217, issued on March 25, was assigned to Purdue Research Foundation (West Lafayette, Ind.).

"Compositions and methods for treating hyperphagia in prader-willi syndrome" was invented by Kee-Hong Kim (West Lafayette, Ind.) and Yuyan Zhu (Shenzhen, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition comprising an active agent that inhibits acyl-coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) is provided.
