ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,276,834, issued on April 15, was assigned to Purdue Research Foundation (West Lafayette, Ind.).

"Single photon source" was invented by Urcan Guler (Avon, Conn.), Alexander Kildishev (West Lafayette, Ind.), Vladimir M. Shalaev (West Lafayette, Ind.), Alexei S. Lagutchev (West Lafayette, Ind.) and Andrey N. Smolyaninov (Moscow region, Russia).
