ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,289, issued on July 1, was assigned to Pulsemedica Corp. (Edmonton, Canada).
"Spatial light modulation targeting of therapeutic lasers for treatment of ophthalmological conditions" was invented by Nir Katchinskiy (Alberta, Canada) and Abdulhakem Elezzabi (Alberta, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A therapeutic laser for use in treating ophthalmological conditions can be modulated by a spatial light modulation device in order to focus the therapeutic laser on a plurality of target locations simultaneously."
The patent was filed on Nov. 23, 2021, under Application No. 18/249,009.
