ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,489,403, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to pSemi Corp. (San Diego).

"Cascode gain boosting and linear gain control using gate resistor" was invented by David Kovac (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Joseph Golat (Crystal Lake, Ill.).

According to one aspect, a series-connected resistor and capacitor is coupled to a gate of a cascode FET transistor of the amplifier, the capacitor providing a short at frequencies of operation of the amplifier.
