ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,292, issued on July 8, was assigned to ProKidney (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands).
"Bioactive renal cells for the treatment of chronic kidney disease" was invented by Deepak Jain (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Timothy A. Bertram (George Town, Cayman Islands).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention concerns methods of using bioactive renal cell populations to provide regenerative effects to a native kidney for the treatment of chronic kidney disease."
