ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,285,250, issued on April 29, was assigned to Profusa Inc (Emeryville, Calif.).

"Near-IR glucose sensors" was invented by Soya Gamsey (San Francisco), Viachaslau Bernat (Burlingame, Calif.), Alex Kutyavin (Lake Stevens, Wash.), Jacob William Clary (Moss Beach, Calif.) and Sulolit Pradhan (Foster City, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Glucose-sensing luminescent dyes of formula (IV-I), polymers, and sensors are provided. Additionally, systems including the sensors and methods of using these sensors and systems are provided."

The patent was filed on June 27, 2019, under Application No. 16/455,038.
