ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,127, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to PRINCE MOHAMMAD BIN FAHD UNIVERSITY (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia).
"Green synthesis method for forming substituted pyrroles" was invented by M. Amin Mir (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia), Syed M. Hasnain (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) and K. Andrews (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A green synthetic method for making a pyrrole. The method includes reacting an aryl amine with a compound having a furan moiety in the presence of an organic catalyst that contains juice."
The patent was filed on April 23, 2025, under Application No. 19/187,833.
