ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,259,284, issued on March 25, was assigned to Praxair Technology Inc. (Danbury, Conn.).
"Temperature control using applied electromagnetic fields" was invented by Sameer H. Israni (Darien, Ill.), Xiaotang Du (Countryside, Ill.), Soujanya N. Jampala (Chicago), John M. Girard (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Keqin Zhou (Seminole, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a technique for characterizing a product utilizing novel measurements based on the reactive and resistive signals exhibited by the product in an electromagnetic field."
The patent was filed on Aug. 13, 2020, under Application No. 17/632,602.
