ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,458, issued on July 8, was assigned to Praxair Technology Inc. (Danbury, Conn.).

"Methods of operational flexibility in partial oxidation" was invented by Bradley D. Damstedt (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Lawrence E. Bool (East Aurora, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are methods for accommodating changes in the conditions of partial oxidation of hydrocarbonaceous feedstock by changing characteristics of the hot oxygen used in the partial oxidation."

The patent was filed on Dec. 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/543,875.
