ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,394,797, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to PPG Industries Ohio Inc. (Cleveland).

"Electrode slurry composition for lithium ion electrical storage devices" was invented by Stuart D. Hellring (Pittsburgh), Matthew E. Stewart (Pittsburgh) and Randy E. Daughenbaugh (Monroeville, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a slurry composition comprising (a) a binder comprising a polymer comprising a fluoropolymer dispersed in a liquid medium; and (b) at least one conductive carbon material having a BET surface area of greater than 100 m2/g. Also provided are electrodes and electrical storage devices."
