ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,973, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to Postle Industries Inc. (Independence, Ohio).
"Nickel-containing stick electrode" was invented by James Keegan (Cleveland) and Christopher Postle (Cleveland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A metal-cored electrode for welding to form a weld bead on a ferrous material, which weld bead includes at least 35 wt. % nickel. The metal-cored electrode includes a metal sheath surrounding a core. The core includes greater than 35 wt. % nickel."
The patent was filed on June 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/206,795.
