ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,106, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Polaris Industries Inc. (Medina, Minn.).
"Snowmobile" was invented by Dustin A. Mertens (Roseau, Minn.) and Martin E. Sampson (Roseau, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention generally relates to snowmobiles. More particularly, the present invention relates to the components of a snowmobile such as the frame, running boards and various other assemblies."
