ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,904, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Polaris Industries Inc. (Medina, Minn.).

"System for attaching accessories to a snowmobile" was invented by Michael A. Hedlund (Roseau, Minn.), Evan M. Rosemore (North Branch, Minn.), Michel E. Eaton (Roseau, Minn.) and Barry A. Johnson (Roseau, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A snowmobile including: a frame including a tunnel configured to accommodate a drive track; a connector mounted to the frame over the tunnel; and a seat configured to be removably connected to the snowmobile by way of the connector."
