ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,341, issued on July 15, was assigned to PLANATOME LLC (Phoenix).
"Cutting instrument with improved surface topography" was invented by Clifford Spiro (Phoenix), Timothy Tobin (Phoenix), Eric Coats (Phoenix) and William Fender (Phoenix).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various embodiments for an improved cutting instrument defining one or more angularly-oriented cutting fasciae having uniform cutting surfaces with reduced surface topography are disclosed."
The patent was filed on Sept. 30, 2021, under Application No. 17/491,512.
