ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,218,347, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to PiMEMS Inc. (Pleasanton, Calif.).
"MEMS anode battery" was invented by Payam Bozorgi (Santa Barabara, Ind.) and Shannon Gott (Santa Barabara, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present application discloses a microfabricated micron-scale battery having excellent performance attributes. The battery using a titanium anode which is etched to form a plurality of raised features on the titanium anode. The raised features are coated conformally with a highly conductive metal.
